After you’ve enjoyed a good chuckle over this shameless marketing ploy in verse, bookmark it in a folder that says, “Open, Read and Do for Christmas 2011!”

Each of the links in this verse takes you to a post about some aspect of email marketing specifically geared to increasing Christmas sales. Email marketing is probably the second most ignored internet marketing opportunity for rural businesses, second only to blogging.

All the hype and attention surrounding social media, combined with concerns about S*P*A*M*  have discouraged lots of rural folks from seriously considering email marketing.

This little poem will walk you through all the benefits and opportunities. And, by the way, I’m not an affiliate of AWeber.

After Christmas, I’ll take some time to discuss some of the points made in this post, and hopefully encourage you to make a New Year’s resolution to add email marketing to your internet marketing strategy for 2011.
